wow…thats a terrible selection of players….WOW! So the most loved palyed in the league didnt make it huh? not surprising. So has anyone else heard that mitch mortaza is trying to get the girls to play for free in the Lingerie Bowl by signing a WAIVER stating they will not expect payment and not hold HIM liable for any injuries that may come up as a result of the game. Ill be surprised if theres a season 2. This really kinda seems like a big scam, exploiting woman and not giving them the recognition they deserve. what a joke. I was fan and now to see how the season is closing I certainly am not any longer. I hope the girls wise up and refuse to play another season, and if the girls in the bowl games were smart they wouldnt play either. Mitch Mortaza is a dam joke, just look at the tool bag, and his little girl friend—EEEEW! She needs ANOTHER nose job and I would love to see her step on the field and get HAMMERED. The best 2 players in this league were Tasha Pryor and Brandyce Lee, hands down, they were the best to watch play and it sucks to see they dont get any acknowledgement for the asset they were to thier teams and the league. unbelievable.

You Lost a alot of fans and alot of RESPECT, get a new owner.

Tough calls to make, but here are my choices, and why:

MVP: Tina Caccavalle. She led the league in 3 categories, offense and defense, and was the only player to do so.

Coach of the Year: Antuan Edwards. Dallas had talent right out of the gate, and their coach managed to get it all together from the get-go.

Most Improved: I’m surprised to see Linda Brenner as a candidate. Did she ever have a weakness? I’m going with a write-in candidate: Denisha Crawford. She was the back-up to Jen Myers at the start of the season, came in against a tough Philadelphia team and lost, then won against NY and got MVP against a very good Miami team. If that’s not a vertical line improvement, I don’t know what is.

Offensive Player of the Year: Tyrah Lusby. Let’s face it; she is the entire Philly offense.

Defensive Player of the Year: Lindsey Blaine owns the line.

Mortaza Award: I’m going to go with a write-in again. Teresa Brewer. Read her story if you want to know why.

And I’m going to introduce another award: Let’s call it “The Teamwork Award”, and in the best spirit of teamwork, let’s nominate it in pairs:

    1. Saran Dunmore and Tasha Pryor – one compliments the other. One is speed, the other brings power. You can’t scheme your defense to stop one, because the other will burn you.

    2. Elizabeth Gorman and Tiffani Powers – two great linebackers that go great together.

    3. Anonka Dixon and Tina Caccavalle – A great QB needs a great receiver.

    4. Linda Brenner and Kandis Mosely – Another great offensive tandem

5.Henry Racik and Dan Esposito. NY never won a game, and got pasted pretty bad all season long, but they never gave up.

My vote: Powers and Gorman, because they were two of the critical players of a Tampa defense that kept a very good Chicago running team to its lowest score of the season, limited Philly to just 2 scores, thumped NY, and squelched the Dixon-to-Caccavalle connection all night long. And they never tooted their own horns about it, so it’s time somebody else did.

And eventually I’m going to tie them both to a chair and pull an interview out of them!

Am I wrong or is there not one single player from the LA Temptation on the awards list? Funny since they have advanced to the L-Bowl Saturday night.

  4. Troy Whigham says:

Yeah, I’m surprised Ali Eastlake isn’t nominated for Most Improved.
