NFL Picks Week 11: Unlaced welcomes Shannon Martin back to the NFL Pick ‘em challenge

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

Posted by Matt Field

untitledAlright guys, the princess of the picks, Shannon Martin, is making her return this week to the NFL Pick ‘em challenge. I told Shannon that I would set up something special for her comeback this week. I thought, what would Shannon enjoy more than anything, and then it hit me. If I know Shannon at all, 7420_1228639043589_1457471325_30698134_7116344_sshe would love the opportunity to beat yours truly at his own game. So, as my welcome back gift to Shannon, I accept this weeks NFL Pick ‘em challenge. Good luck to Shannon and even more to me :-D

NFL Picks Week 11

Dolphins @ Panthers

Shannon- Panthers – On a roll after last weeks win.

Matt- Dolphins – Miami will rally around Ricky Williams and the Wildcat.

Colts @ Ravens

Shannon- Colts – They are coming off a great win last Sunday night and are full steam ahead. My gut tells me the Ravens may surprise though.

Matt- Ravens – Colts are not quite as strong on the road and outdoors. The Ravens won’t hand the game over like the Patriots did last week.

Browns @ Lions

Shannon- Browns – Just because..

Matt- Lions – Just because..

Redskins @ Cowboys

Shannon- Cowboys – Romo needs to find some momentum and I think it comes this week.

Matt- Cowboys – Back to reality for the Redskins after the upset over Denver last week.

49ers @ Packers

Shannon- Packers – It’s a home field thing. Don’t think the Niners can hold down the Packers offense.

Matt- Packers – I would be more than happy to be wrong on this one.

Steelers @ Chiefs

Shannon- Steelers – They will bring it against the Chiefs!

Matt- Steelers – An angry Steelers team will come to play and stomp the Chiefs.

Falcons @ Giants

Shannon- Giants – New York is dying for a win, home field will be the difference this week.

Matt- Falcons – Atlanta is dying for a win and home field won’t mean a thing as the Falcons upset the Giants.

Saints @ Bucs

Shannon- Saints – Too much for the Bucs to handle.

Matt- Saints – Agreed

Seahawks @ Vikings

Shannon- Vikings – A Minnesota victory dedicated to the greatest guy I know, Matt Field. Did I mention how wonderful and perfect Matt is?

Matt- Vikings – I’m blushing Shannon, but couldn’t agree with you more. Oh, and I also pick the Vikings to dominate.

Bills @ Jaguars

Shannon- Jaguars – They are starting to put it together in Jacksonville.

Matt- Bills – The new coach lets T.O. loose and Bills win.

Cardinals @ Rams

Shannon- Cardinals – Has anyone seen the Rams this year? Yuck!

Matt- Cardinals – Rams played the Saints tough last week, just don’t see a win here though.

Chargers @ Broncos

Shannon- Chargers – Orton won’t be 100%

Matt- Chargers - Will the real Denver Broncos please stand up?

Jets @ Patriots

Shannon- Patriots – They are steamed and Bill will not make such a mistake again.

Matt- Patriots – The defense has something to prove to the coach and the offense will pick up where it left off.

Bengals @ Raiders

Shannon- Bengals – What a surprise they are this year.

Matt- Bengals – Raiders change quarterbacks only to get the same results.

Eagles @ Bears

Shannon- Eagles – The Bears are already in hibernation.

Matt- Eagles – Too much offense for the Bears to handle. It’s tough enough to get past their own quarterback’s mistakes.

Titans @ Texans

Shannon- Texans – Gotta go with the home team with two such evenly matched teams.

Matt- Titans – Tennessee is playing like the team of last year.

Joey Davenport

So after last week’s NFL picks and a tie between Shannon Martin and Joey Davenport, Joey had decided to challenge the fans once again. I just so happened to find an eager LFL diehard, Pat Moore is ready to step up and throw down his week 10 picks. This is the toughest week yet, an undefeated Colts team hosts the Patriots, battle of the beatables in Kansas City vs Oakland, and the Bengals travel to the Steel City to face the Steelers for the division lead. Good luck!

Pat_Moored

Pat Moore

Bears @ 49ers

Joey- Bears – Looking for Cutler to have a great day.

Pat- 49ers – My roommate likes Chicago and it makes me happy to see him upset when the Bears lose.

Falcons @ Panthers

Joey- Panthers -  Atlanta is not playing as hungry as Carolina right now.

Pat- Falcons – Atlanta defense should hold down Caroling pretty well.

Bucs @ Dolphins

Joey- Dolphins – Tampa’s defensive coordinators still trying to figure what to do.

Pat- Dolphins – If I’ve learned anything from Will Smith, I know that Miami is where the heat is on.

Lions @ Vikings

Joey- Vikings – The sky is the limit with this Vikings offense.

Pat- Vikings – Lions have 2 of their last 32 game, enough said.

Bengals @ Steelers

Joey- Steelers – Close game but Big Ben shines in a game winning drive.

Pat- Steelers – The offense is looking good after last week.

Bills @ Titans

Joey- Titans – The Vince Young led Titans don’t look that bad.

Pat- Titans – T.O. won’t taste victory this week.

Broncos @ Redskins

Joey- Broncos – This is going to be a blowout!

Pat- Broncos – Denver’s defense is going to hit Washington hard.

Saints @ Rams

Joey- Saints – St Louis surprises but will come up short in game closer than anyone expected.

Pat- Saints – St Louis hasn’t been the same since Kurt Warner left.

Jaguars @ Jets

Joey- Jets – New York is just a better team.

Pat- Jets – Pretty even matchup, have to go with the home team.

Chiefs @ Raiders

Joey- Raiders – Low scoring and tons of penalties in this one.

Pat- Chiefs – Being a Denver fan, I don’t think I will ever pick the Raiders.

Seahawks @ Cardinals

Joey- Cardinals – Fitzgerald and crew too much for the SeaChickens to handle.

Pat- Cardinals – I have another roommate that is a Seattle fan, fun to cheer against him as well.

Cowboys @ Packers

Joey- Cowboys – Dallas looked pretty good last week.

Pat- Cowboys – Dallas has a nice pass rush this year, that will rattle Rodgers and the Pack.

Eagles @ Chargers

Joey- Chargers – Rivers is doing a great job.

Pat- Eagles - McNabb is looking good this year.

Patriots @ Colts

Joey- Patriots – New England powerhouse rolls over Indy, Manning will get rattled.

Pat- Colts – Will be a close game but the Colts will pull out the win.

Ravens @ Browns

Joey- Ravens – How did this game get on MNF? Baltimore wins in a snoozer.

Pat- Ravens – Baltimore’s defense against Cleveland’s offense? The Browns will be lucky to get a field goal.

I’ve decided to keep this week’s NFL picks within the LFL. The pick ‘em challenge will feature our weekly picks princess, Shannon Martin going up against Joey Davenport of the Los Angeles Temptation. Joey actually kicked off the NFL picks challenge back in week two with a win over the fans. Some great takes on this weeks games from both girls. Good luck to both.

Joey Davenport

Joey Davenport

It’s a tie folks!

Week 9 NFL picks

Redskins @ Falcons

Shannon- Falcons – Redskins are one of the worst teams this season.

Joey- Falcons – Atlanta grinds out the points and grinds out a win over the skins and their trainwreck of an offense.

Shannon- Bears – Taking the home team in this close one.

Joey- Cardinals – Very close, low scoring game. Cards by a TD.

Ravens @ Bengals

Shannon- Bengals - Time for Cincy to prove they are for real.

Texans @ Colts

Shannon- Colts – Colts can’t be tamed.

Joey- Colts – No brainer here, Manning will rack some frequent flyer mile for sure.

Chiefs @ Jaguars

Shannon- Jaguars – Chiefs are just to weak to compete.

Joey- Jaguars – Jags rush their way to victory.

Dolphins @ Patriots

Shannon- Patriots – Brady is back and the Pats are ready for the fish.

Joey- Dolphins – Yeah, might be crazy, but I’m going upset here.

Packers @ Bucs

Shannon- Packers - Battle of the Bays, Green Bay takes this one down.

Joey- Packers - As much as Green Bay misses #4, that Rodgers guy in not too bad.

Panthers @ Saints

Shannon- Saints – Panthers don’t stand a chance.

Joey- Saints – I think I’ll kick back and enjoy the ride as I hop on the Saints bandwagon.

Lions @ Seahawks

Shannon- Seahawks – Battle of the beatables, taking the home team.

Joey- Seahawks – Hawks treat the Lions to a can of whoopass, courtesy of Hasselbeck’s return.

Chargers @ Giants

Shannon- Giants – Giants will get back on track with some consistancy.

Joey- Giants – Overrated Chargers get a reality check.

Titans @ 49ers

Shannon- 49ers – Titans enjoyed their first taste of victory last week, not this week.

Joey- Titans – The Niners will be chasing Chris Johnson, Lendal White and Vince Young all day long.

Cowboys @ Eagles

Shannon- Cowboys – Romo keeps rolling as they win big.

Joey- Eagles – Cowboys momentum slows as Philly starts the beginning of the end for Dallas.

Steelers @ Broncos

Shannon- Steelers – Amazing game but the Steelers beat the Broncos on their home turf.

Joey- Steelers – Pittsburgh offense blows out Denver in a high scoring match. The L.A. Temptation will be hosting this game at Patrick Malloys in Hermosa Beach. If I’m wrong about this pick, I’ll do something…. memorable ;-)

Shannon Martin

Shannon has been taking it easy on the fans so far, this may be the week that she comes to play and takes down her first fan challenge of the season. Last week was on fire with a mark of 10-3 and was beat out by fan, Nolan Grady, who came in with a 11-2 record. The Giants game burned both of them last week as Arizona surprised with a victory.

Brandon Kending

Brandon Kending

This week Shannon goes up against Brandon Kending. Good luck to both.

Week 8 Picks

Seahawks @ Cowboys

Shannon- Cowboys – They are due to go on a streak.

Brandon- Cowboys – Romo is heating up and he’s my fantasy quarterback, I need a big game out of him!

Giants @ Eagles

Shannon- Giants – Eli is still bitter about the loss last week.

Brandon- Giants – It is a good day to be a Manning.

Texans @ Bills

Shannon- Bills – After a win on the road last week, Buffalo comes home to continue the streak.

Brandon- Texans – Mainly because I hate T.O.

Rams @ Lions

Shannon- Lions – Yuck! Horrible game, horrible teams, I’ll take the home team.

Brandon- Lions – Wow, the clash of the titans, Rams are the new Lions. Lions win.

49ers @ Colts

Shannon- Colts - Matt? Really? You had to ask?

Brandon- Colts – Peyton cleans house as he gets the evil eye from Singletary.

Browns @ Bears

Shannon- Bears - Come on Cutler, get on your horse and win

Brandon- Bears – Chicago will be fired up after last week.

Broncos @ Ravens

Shannon- Broncos – So proud of the home town team, keep it going on the road boys!

Brandon- Ravens - Will be a close one, Ravens win 10-7.

Jaguars @ Titans

Shannon- Jaguars – The Titans are off the radar, Jags win.

Brandon- Jaguars – Tennessee won’t get their first win this week.

Raiders @ Chargers

Shannon- Chargers – Will be a fun game but the Chargers have more talent.

Brandon- Chargers - LT finally breaks loose and runs for two scores and 100 yards.. that’s right, he’s on my fantasy team as well.

Vikings @ Packers

Shannon- Packers – I shouldn’t be doing this, but I bet Brett will fail under so much pressure to win.

Brandon- Vikings – SKOL Vikings! Ok, so this is my personal pick. I grew up in Wisconsin, but I’m a diehard Vikings fan. Plus, if the Packers beat Favre at Lambeau Field, I’ll never hear the end of it from my Wisconsin buddies.

Panthers @ Cardinals

Shannon- Cardinals – Riding high after last weeks win over the Giants, Cards pummel the Panthers.

Brandon- Panthers – Cards are a pass happy team and Carolina is number one against the pass.

Falcons @ Saints

Shannon- Saints – I wanted to say Falcons, but I’m going with the home team.

Brandon- Saints – Gotta go with the Saints at home. This game should make for a great Monday night.

Time for LFLUnlaced.com’s weekly NFL picks challenge. The fans have had some luck of late and have a string of narrow victories over the LFL talent. This weeks fan challenger is Nolan Grady. Good luck!

Nolan- Colts - The Rams do not have the talent to compete in the NFL this year, especially not against Peyton Manning.

Nolan- Chargers – They need this win if they have any hopes of competing in the AFC West this season.

Shannon- Packers – What is a Brown anyways?

Nolan- Packers – The Browns have had terrible quarterback play all year, it won’t improve against the Pack.

Patriots @ Bucs

Shannon- Patriots – Did anyone see last weeks game?

Nolan- Patriots – Who would you rather have? Tom Brady or Josh Johnson?

49ers @ Texans

Shannon- Texans – Crabtree will not have any impact in this one.

Nolan- Texans – Steve Slaton finally has a breakout game, while the Niner’s offense stalls due to Crabtree’s inexperience.

Bills @ Panthers

Shannon- Panthers – Bills picked off a couple passes and had plenty of luck in last weeks win, won’t happen this week.

Nolan- Panthers – The tandem of DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart finally put it together in one game and run all over T.O.’s Bills.

Jets @ Raiders

Shannon- Jets – The Jets are struggling but the Raiders make it all better.

Nolan- Jets – Never pick the Raiders.

Falcons @ Cowboys

Shannon- Cowboys – Falcons performed last week, but the Cowboys need a win.

Nolan- Cowboys – In a tight one, Cowboys pull out the win thanks to their unheralded stars.

Saints @ Dolphins

Shannon- Saints – Drew Brees has me believing, surprise of the season.

Nolan- Saints – New Orleans continues it’s offensive frenzy as Brees lights up the scoreboard.

Bears @ Bengals

Shannon- Bengals – Cutler might as well cut his losses and let the rest of the team go on vacation already.

Nolan- Bengals – Cincy continues it’s improved play from a year ago and Cutler continues his struggles.

Cardinals @ Giants

Shannon- Giants – Cards are not clicking well enough to win on the Giants home turf.

Nolan- Giants – Arizona’s offense freezes in the cold against the Giants’ D.

Eagles @ Redskins

Shannon- Redskins – UPSET ALERT!! The Redskins salvage something from this lost season with a win.

Nolan- Eagles – Philly wins big! The man calling plays for the Redskins was calling out bingo numbers two weeks ago. Seriously.

Shannon dropped her contest to the fans by one pick two weeks ago. She is ready to shine with this weeks picks. Our fan challenger is Enrique Toscano.

Good luck to both!

Week 6 Picks

Texans @ Bengals

Shannon- Bengals – This will be close, a win by ocho or even cinco points would not shock me

Enrique- Bengals – They have surprised and the defense is playing well, Cedric Benson carries them to another win.

Lions @ Packers

Shannon- Packers - Did you even have to ask?

Enrique- Packers – They are at home after a bye week, should be ready

Rams @ Jaguars

Shannon- Jaguars – The Rams might be the worst team in the league.

Enrique- Jaguars – MJD will run all over the Rams.

Ravens @ Vikings

Shannon- Vikings – This one’s for you Matt ( sorry I ever doubted you ) lol

Enrique- Vikings – Will be a defensive battle, edge goes to the home team.

Giants @ Saints

Shannon- Giants – Manning number 2 will make it 6-0 for sure

Enrique- Saints - High powered offense gets the edge at home and coming off a bye week.

Browns @ Steelers

Shannon- Steelers – I’ve had my rothlisBURGER today, have you?

Enrique- Steelers – The Browns cannot matchup.

Pathers @ Bucs

Shannon- Bucs – One these teams needs to pull it together, the home team takes this one.

Enrique- Panthers – Steve Smith should have his way with a weak TB defense

Chiefs @ Redskins

Shannon- Redskins – Feeling bad for the state of Missouri, Chiefs? Rams? Yuck!

Enrique- Redskins – Edge to Washington in this one

Eagles @ Raiders

Shannon- Eagles – Even at home the Raiders are too weak to keep up with the Eagles offense

Enrique- Eagles – Duh!

Cardinals @ Seahawks

Shannon- Cardinals – This pick is for Heather :)

Enrique- Cardinals – Arizona has great potential on offense and Seattle has looked shaky all year

Titans @ Patriots

Shannon- Patriots – As much as it pains me to say it, New England will take this one

Enrique- Titans – They will shock the Patriots with a power running game

Bills @ Jets

Shannon- Jets – T.O. is a train wreck and that is the best thing about the Bills.

Enrique- Jets – Sanchez has some more fun with his new wideout, Braylon Edwards. Defense comes up big again

Bears @ Falcons

Shannon- Bears – They are coming together, I still have faith in them

Enrique- Falcons - Matt Ryan and Michael Turner take this one. Too many options on offense, Chicago won’t stop them all

Broncos @ Chargers

Shannon- Broncos – The Broncos set the tone as the Denver Dream get ready for a SD matchup in January

Enrique- Chargers – Again, giving the edge to the home team coming off the bye week

Angie Nicholas

Angie Nicholas

Krystal- Ravens – The Bengals won’t know what hit them after this game.

Browns @ Bills

Krystal- Bills – Buffalo is my hometown team!

Angie- Bills – Terrell Owens gets ’sassy’ in this one.

Steelers @ Lions

Krystal- Steelers – The ‘Terrible Towels’ could beat the Lions.

Angie- Steelers – Poor little Lions, one more loss won’t matter.

Redskins @ Panthers

Krystal- Redskins – Too much talent to not eventually figure it out.

Angie – Redskins – Not sure what happened to the Panthers but I take the Redskins in this one.

Cowboys @ Chiefs

Krystal- Cowboys – The ‘Boys’ have struggled but the Chiefs are still just too weak to keep up.

Angie- Cowboys – Romo is due for a good game. Chiefs stink.

Bucs @ Eagles

Krystal- Eagles – Showing some PA area love!

Angie- Eagles – Kevin Eubanks loves them and that’s good enough for me :-)

Falcons @ 49ers

Krystal- Falcons – Well rested after the bye and ready to win.

Angie – 49ers – Take away the ‘Metrodome Miracle’ and they are 4-0.

Texans @ Cardinals

Krystal- Cardinals – The SuperBowl runner-ups can’t be this bad.

Angie- Cardinals – Warner to Fitzgerald trumps Schaub to Johnson.

Jaguars @ Seahawks

Krystal- Seahawks – The Hawks are due to win one and I just don’t trust the Jags.

Angie- Jaguars – The Seahawks are just not good enough without Hasselback.

Patriots @ Broncos

Krystal- Broncos – I hate any team from New England

Angie- Patriots – Brady and Moss, so dynamic.

Colts @ Titans

Krystal- Colts – The Titans have no chance in this one.

Angie- Colts – Manning is in control, Titans are not. Nuff said!

Jets @ Dolphins

Krystal- Jets – Mark Sanchez, Braylon Edwards and Miami is going to miss having Chad Pennington.

Angie- Jets – Didn’t they have Favre last year?

Julie Galindo puts her NFL picks to the test

Julie Galindo

Posted by Matt Field

The fans, Rob and Jeff, each squeaked out one pick victories over the girls of the LFL last week. Julie Galindo of the San Diego Seduction is here to put a stop to that. Our lucky fan is Kyle Skow. I had a chance to look over these picks and it looks like it will come down to one game, Patriots @ Broncos. This is the only game where Julie and Kyle made different picks.

n13906251_49571590_4493

Kyle Skow

If you would like to submit your picks and put them up against one of the girls of the LFL, list your picks for the following week in the comments. You will be contacted via email if you are chosen for this friendly competition.

Good luck Julie and Kyle. Here’s the picks!

Week 5 Picks

Bengals @ Ravens

Julie- Ravens – This will be a great game and probably very close. I have to go with the home team coming off a tough loss.

Kyle- Ravens – These teams are tied for the lead in their division at 3-1, but I’m pretty sure the Ravens will take care of business.

Vikings @ Rams

Julie- Vikings - Favre looks sharp this season and Vike’s defense is so tough,

Kyle- Vikings – The Rams have zero chance of winning this game.

Raiders @ Giants

Julie- Giants – Need I say more, it’s the Raiders.

Kyle- Giants – Not even close, New York is going to pistol whip Oakland

Browns @ Bills

Julie- Bills – TO is due for a big game. Why not against the Browns defense at home?

Kyle- Bills – The Browns came close last week, but we all know that they stink.

Steelers @ Lions

Julie- Steelers – Steelers are coming off a big win, but they won’t let down against the Motor City Kitties

Kyle- Steelers - Yeah right, the Lions are 1-19 in their last 20 and they’re going to beat the defending SuperBowl champs? Good luck.

Redskins @ Panthers

Julie- Panthers – Will bounce back coming off the bye. Close game.

Kyle- Panthers - Even at 0-3, Carolina is fresh off the bye and playing at home. This should be good.

Cowboys @ Chiefs

Julie- Cowboys – I think Romo will go off on the Chiefs. I predict a 3 TD performance.

Kyle- Cowboys - The Chiefs have yet to win a game. Keep waiting KC.

Bucs @ Eagles

Julie- Eagles – Too many offensive weapons to defend, and McNabb is back

Kyle- Eagles – This game could go either way, I’m going with the Eagles.

Falcons @ 49ers

Julie- 49ers – One of this year’s suprises, 49ers pull off the upset over the Birds

Kyle- 49ers – Singletary has put together an excellent team this year, I don’t think the Falcons have a chance.

Texans @ Cardinals

Julie- Cardinals – Two of the leagues best passing games will go toe to toe. Arizona will pull out the win with the stronger defense.

Kyle- Cardinals - The Cards have been disappointing so far this year, let’s hope the bye has helped them figure things out.

Jaguars @ Seahawks

Julie- Jaguars – MJD will have a big game and lead the Jags to victory.

Kyle- Jaguars – Jones-Drew has played well the last few games and Seattle has question marks at QB.

Patriots @ Broncos (this is the only game they picked differently)

Julie- Broncos – Game of the week! Former Pats assistant will go to 5-0 in close one.

Kyle- Patriots – This might be the best game of the week. Randy Moss has been quiet the last few weeks, I think he will blow up on Sunday.

Colts @ Titans

Julie- Colts – Can anyone stop Peyton Manning? Certainly not the Titans.

Kyle- Colts – The Titans defense is laughable. Manning, Wayne and Garcon will make this one a blow out.

Jets @ Dolphins

Julie- Jets – The addition of Braylon Edwards makes an instant impace, plus New York’s tenacious defense gives Miami no chance.

Kyle- Jets – Jets will win a close won on the road.

Erin Marie Garrett is ready to knock-out the competition with her NFL picks

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

Posted by Matt Field

n653037746_725630_5670Due to popular demand, I have added a second dual in the NFL pick ‘em challenge. In this corner, Erin Marie Garrett, running back for the Dallas Desire. Erin is a dog lover and owns a doberman name Diesel. She loves to sing and perform as well. Erin will take on any challenger when it comes to Madden and will most likely come out victorious. Today she puts her football knowledge to the challenge against one the LFLUnlaced.com fans.

10625_1112379771027_1272870054_283422_4522543_nToday’s fan challenger is Jeff Fitzsimmons. Jeff has agreed to not hold LFLUnlaced.com responsible for any beating that he may take as a result of this challenge. Although, a beating from Erin may be just what a guy needs.

The fans make it 2-0 over the LFL this week.

Jeff Fitzsimmons’ picks – 10-4

Erin Garrett’s picks – 9-5

Let’s get to the picks and good luck to both!

Week 4 Picks

Lions @ Bears

Erin- Bears – I could care less about either of these teams, but if I have to pick, definitelt Chicago

Jeff- Bears – Unfortunately, I don’t forsee a winning streak.

Ravens  @ Patriots

Erin- Ravens – Tom Brady is NOT one of my favorites.

Jeff- Patriots – It will be a defensive battle with both coaches utilizing their talents on defense to control the other teams offense.

Bucs @ Redskins

Erin- Redskins – Have the Bucs even won a game this year? Not this one.

Jeff- Bucs – Washington is falling apart and Jim Zorn is a lame duck coach.

Giants @ Chiefs

Erin- Giants – Do I really have to answer this? Giants, hands down!

Jeff- Giants – The Giants have looked like the class of the NFC so far, clicking on all cylinders.

Raiders @ Texans

Erin- Texans – Unless Bo Jackson makes a return, the Raiders are screwed

Jeff- Texans – Houston can’t stop anybody, but luckily they are playing the Raiders who can’t do anything on offense.

Seahawks @ Colts

Erin- Colts – It’s all Manning this week!

Jeff- Colts – New coach, same results.  As long as Peyton Manning is leading the Colts you can expect 10-12 wins.

Titans @ Jaguars

Erin- Titans - This will be a very even matchup but the Titans pull out the win

Jeff- Titans – Both of these teams have been surprisingly bad this season.  The Titans are in a must win situation, falling to 0-4 would be devastating.

Bengals @ Browns

Erin- Bengals - They are on a roll and it just seems like a good idea to stick with them.

Jeff- Bengals - The battle of Ohio pits one team on the rise and one team that may lose to a few college programs.  This one could be a blow out.

Bills @ Dolphins

Erin- Bills – Even playing at home, Dolphins won’t recover from the loss of Pennington

Jeff- Dolphins – These two teams are bad.  Basically the only thing to look forward to is whether or not T.O. blows up this week.

Jets @ Saints

Erin- Jets – Saints will need a miracle to beat the Jets

Jeff- Saints – Two 3-0 teams battle as the Jets take on the Saints. This one could turn into a shootout and you never want that to happen when you go against Drew Brees.

Cowboys @ Broncos

Erin- Cowboys – Bet ya a billion dollars! Reminds me of our recent game and it’s going to be the same.

Jeff- Cowboys – Dallas bounced back after a tough loss to NY to beat Carolina last week but their offense still didn’t look in sync.  Losing Felix Jones hurts but I still believe they have enough to beat Denver.

Rams @ 49ers

Erin- 49ers – Too easy. Niners!

Jeff- 49ers – St. Louis may have officially replaced the Lions as the most pathetic team in the NFL.

Chargers @ Steelers

Erin- Steelers – Chargers won’t be able to break through that defense

Jeff- Chargers – The loss of Polamalu is really gonna hurt Pittsburgh this week.

Packers @ Vikings

Erin- Vikings - No Packers, no Vikings, no Packers… get Favre to help me make up my mind! Okay, Vikings

Jeff- Vikings – There is something special about this game but I can’t remember what it is…..oh yeah Brett Favre against the team that didn’t want him anymore.

Denver Dream’s Shannon Martin takes on the fans with her Week 4 NFL picks

#12 Shannon Martin Denver Dream

Posted by Matt Field

As we head into a bye week here in the LFL , we welcome week 4 of NFL play. Both leagues have provided plenty of action and drama, only one of those leagues has provided beautiful women in lingerie ;-) . Anyways, this week Shannon Martin, star running back of the Denver Dream will be matching her NFL pick against one of the fans. This weeks fan is Rob Neumann. Rob is the manager of a Minnesota based fitness center and should give Shannon a run for her money on this weeks picks. If you missed it, Joey Davenport smoked the competition in last weeks picks with a 13-3 record.

Chalk one up for the fans this week.

Rob Neumann’s picks – 11-3

Shannon ’Cheesehead’ Martin’s - picks – 10-4

Rob Neumann America's Fitness Centers

Shannon- Ravens – Pats are cheaters

Rob- Patriots - I might be crazy picking against the Ravens, but Brady is tough at home

Rob- Redskins – Losing to the Lions was bad. The Bucs may be worse than the Lions

Giants @ Chiefs

Shannon- Giants – It’s a Manning thing

Rob- Giants – Their defense is just too good and the Chiefs offense is just, well, not good

Raiders @ Texans

Shannon- Raiders – Suprised last week with their intensity, they will take it this week for sure

Rob- Texans – The year of Matt Schaub continues. The Raiders have no offense to speak of

Seahawks @ Colts

Shannon- Colts – Honestly, they do better on the road, but they will get it done at home this week

Rob- Colts - Love his or hate him, Manning just continues to win

Titans @ Jaguars

Shannon- Titans – Tennessee just can’t go to 0-4

Rob- Titans – I can’t see them going 0-4. Although, I didn’t see them starting 0-3 either

Bengals @ Browns

Shannon- Bengals – Stopped the SuperBowl champs, I think they can handle the Browns

Rob- Bengals – Could be a letdown game, but the Browns are awful, I’ll go with Carson and the kitties

Bills @ Dolphins

Shannon- Dolphins – Amazing ball control against the Colts, I think they can pull out the win this week

Rob- Bills – T.O. may not catch a pass again (let’s hope so), but the Dolphins offense was bad with Pennington, it won’t improve with Henne at the helm

Jets @ Saints

Shannon- Saints – I’m not sure who can stop Drew Brees and that pass attack

Rob- Saints – Brees will figure a way to score points against the Rex Ryan led D of the Jets and Mark Sanchez just won’t be able to keep up

Cowboys @ Broncos

Shannon- Broncos – Home turf will give hope to keeping the win streak alive

Rob- Cowboys – The Cowboys looked terrible on MNF but I don’t think the Broncos can start out 4-0

Rams @ 49ers

Shannon- 49ers – Was my first favorite team, the start of the season has been a turnaround from past years. Giddy up SF!

Rob- 49ers – The Rams are just bad and the 49ers are pissed off after the Metrodome Miracle last week

Chargers @ Steelers

Shannon- Steelers – 08’s SuperBowl champs aren’t playing the part this year, but I have faith that they will turn it around

Rob- Steelers – They’re motivated, they’re at home and I think they will dial up the blitz this week and beat Phillip Rivers up a little this week

Packers @ Vikings

Shannon- Packers – DUN DUN DUN!!! Favre is a sellout, Packers will crush him at his new home

Rob- Vikings – Sure, I’m a homer, but the Packers offensive line has been inconsistent this year and the Vikes D-line will take advantage
